Teaching English to Speakers of Other Language (TESOL)

The College of Education and Human Services offers a variety of Teaching English to Speakers of Other Language (TESOL) programs including a TESOL Minor, Undergraduate and Graduate TESOL Certificates, Masters of Education (Major: Elementary Education or Curriculum and Instruction, with TESOL Concentration) and a 香港六合彩开奖结果2023+ Pathway program.

Graduate Programs

PLEASE NOTE: The Graduate Certificate in TESOL and the Masters in Elementary Education with a Concentration in TESOL have both temporarily suspended enrollment and are not enrolling students at this time.

Master of Education in Elementary Education with TESOL Concentration

The Master of Education in Elementary Education, with a specialization in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Language (TESOL), provides candidates with academic and field training in the education of English Language Learners (ELLs) of any age. The completion of Twelve TESOL graduate courses awards a candidate a Master's degree in Elementary Education concentration in TESOL along with TESOL certificate from 香港六合彩开奖结果2023 and qualifies a candidate to apply for the English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) endorsement to be added to the candidate's existing Florid teacher's certificate. Additionally, the program prepares candidates to teach English domestically and abroad. In these context, candidates will benefit from learning knowledge of language fundamentals paired with cultural and pedagogical training and teaching experiences. All of the required twelve TESOL courses are offered in various delivery modes. The program can be completed in 2 years.

Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction with TESOL Concentration

The Masters of Education (M.Ed.) in Curriculum and Instruction provides advanced graduate studies for practicing teachers in pedagogy and curriculum, with an emphasis on teacher inquiry. The program offers specializations for teachers from preschool through secondary education to further their professional practice through reflective teaching, inquiry, and research-based graduate courses.
