Be an Urban Educator

We are currently accepting applications for students entering their junior year of college to continue their education at the 香港六合彩开奖结果2023 who want to be teachers. 

The College of Education and Human Services will provide scholars with up to $6,000 per year in scholarship funds. Formerly referred to as the , the Urban Education Scholarship continues to increase the educator pipeline to better reflect PK-12 demographics. Supporting the Northeast Florida region with qualified teachers is crucial. This program also establishes an environment of support for participants and prepares students to engage in the larger professional community.

Eligibility Requirements

Preference given to students who have graduated from a Duval County Public School or the Florida State College System

  • Meet admission requirements and be accepted into 香港六合彩开奖结果2023
  • Be a junior
  • Be admitted into a Teacher Education program in the College of Education and Human Services or Music Education degree program in the College of Arts and Sciences
  • Participate in an Osprey Teacher Residency (OTR) pathway
  • Enroll in a minimum of 9 hours in the fall and spring semesters
  • Enroll in a minimum of 3 hours in the summer semester, if utilizing scholarship funds
  • Maintain a 2.5 GPA throughout each semester at 香港六合彩开奖结果2023
  • Provide a personal statement that reflects students plans or intent to teach in an urban school setting
