ELP Evening Program

  Application Deadline Spring 2025: January 1st 

In the ELP Evening Program classes, the language is taught with a combined-skills approach. These classes are offered for members of the community, visitors, and business people during convenient evening hours. New students are placed in one of 4 levels of instruction. 

At the end of each 12-week semester, students who fulfill the attendance and language proficiency requirements will receive a Certificate of Completion and will be promoted to the next level. When you send an application, the ELP will contact you about a placement test to find the right level / class for you.

Our levels are:

  • Level 1: Beginning
  • Level 2: High-Beginning / Intermediate
  • Level 3: Intermediate / High-Intermediate
  • Level 4: Advanced

  • Vocabulary / American English Expressions
  • Reading practice

  • Pair and group work
  • Dialogues and role play
  • Life skills

* Acceptance into the ELP is at the discretion of the program administrators, who reserve the right to decline admission to any applicant.

Schedule and Costs

Applications must be received two weeks before classes start.

Spring 2025

Starts: January 14th
Ends: April 10th
Placement Test: Week of January 6th

Summer 2025

Starts: May 13th
Ends: July 31st
Placement Test: Week of May 5th

Fall 2025

Starts: September 9th
Ends: November 27th
Placement Test: Week of September 1st

Tuition Per Semester: $475

Application Fee: $20

 

Refund Policy

Requests for refunds must be submitted to the office of the English Language Program and must be made in writing before the end of the second week of class. Application fees are non-refundable.

  • Withdrawal during the first week of class: 75% refund of the tuition will be issued if the student withdraws at the end of the first week of classes.
  • Withdrawal during the second week of class: 25% refund of the tuition will be issued if the student withdraws during the second week of classes.

  1. Download the application form.
  2. Email it to elp@unf.edu or print it and personally deliver it to the .
  3. Make the  before classes start.
  • When the application is received, the ELP will contact you about the placement test.
  • Applications must be received two weeks before classes start.

  • Acceptance into the ELP is at the discretion of the program administrators, who reserve the right to decline admission to any applicant.

  • Students can park in  or  after 6:00 pm without purchasing a parking permit.

    • The ELP Evening Program is 12 weeks long, every Tuesday and Thursday.
    • The Accent Reduction program is 11 weeks long, every Thursday.
  • Who can apply?

    • Accent Reduction is a separate program designed to reduce non-native accents, so you can communicate more clearly in all settings. Students must have high-intermediate to advanced-level English speaking skills to participate in this program.

  • What is the cost of the program?
    • The ELP Evening Program is $475 per semester with a $20 application fee.
    • The Accent Reduction program is $280 per semester with a $20 application fee.
  • What is the refund policy?
    • You can receive a 75% refund during the first week of classes or a 25% refund by the end of the second week.
  • Can I pay for my classes in person?
    • You can pay in person by credit or debit card.
  • Do I need a student visa to take ELP Evening Program classes?
    • No, you do not need a student visa for this course. The ELP Evening Program welcomes all students into our program regardless of immigration status. 
  • Are ELP Evening Program classes accredited?
    • No, students in the ELP Evening Program and Accent Reduction classes will not receive college credits as they are not enrolled as 香港六合彩开奖结果2023 degree-seeking students. At the end of each semester, students will receive a Certificate of Completion and an official transcript.
