The curriculum for the program is based on the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) Essentials of Doctoral Education for Advanced Practice (2006). Th Post-MSN DNP track is offered in a fully online and accelerated format with admission twice a year, fall and spring. Seats are limited to 25 students per admission period. Who Should Pursue the DNP?
The Doctor of Nursing Practice is designed as a post-graduate degree for those who already possess, at a minimum, a Master of Science in Nursing and specialty certification. This practice-focused degree program is for advanced practice registered nurses (APRN) in the following roles: Nurse Exec. (NE-BC); Nurse Exec. Advanced (NEA-BC); Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM); Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS); Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNA); Nurse Practitioners (NP).
