Rape Aggression Defense Training

R. A. D. Self Defense for Women

The 12-hour class is broken into four (4) weekly sessions. The classes are held from 6 p.m. - 9 p.m. at The Fountains Housing Multi-purpose Room (MPR). Each student will be provided with the knowledge to help her make an educated decision about resistance to a spontaneous violent attack. Taught by a nationally certified R. A. D. instructor, this comprehensive, women-only course begins with awareness, prevention, risk reduction and risk avoidance, then progresses to the basics of hands-on defense training. Although students will learn defense strategies, R. A. D. is not a martial arts program.

R. A. D. courses are open to female students, faculty and staff age 14 and older. All students in the course will be provided with a workbook and reference manual that outlines the entire program.
