Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹û2023 hosts thought leaders to address industry challenges at International Healthcare Symposium

The Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹û2023 and the Duval County Medical Society Foundation (DCMS) hosted the third annual Healthcare Symposium focused on personalized healthcare in a changing digital environment on December 2 and 3 at the University Center. 

The Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹û2023 International Healthcare Symposium is a multidisciplinary conference aimed at educating, engaging and connecting healthcare professionals in all disciplines through relevant sessions about challenges and opportunities in the healthcare industry. It brings together thought leaders throughout the field to address today's changes and challenges while planning for the future of healthcare.    

Keynote speakers included Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹û2023 President Moez Limayem and past interim president Dr. Pam Chally; City of Jacksonville Mayor Donna Deegan;  Dr. Michael Suk, chair of the American Medical Association Board of Trustees; Dr. Lisa Cosgrove, president at Florida Medical Association; Dr. Teresa Hubka, president at American Osteopathic Medical Association; Orrin Marcella, head of US Governmental Affairs at GE Healthcare; Kay Fellows, vice president at Medtronic; Sunil Joshi, chief health officer for the City of Jacksonville; Josh Christensen, chief commercial officer at Moon Surgical; and Said Haddad, president of Johnson & Johnson MedTech Surgery. The program chairs were Drs. Mei Zhao and Shyam Paryani from Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹û2023 and Dr. Ruple Galani from DCMS. 

The panel sessions focused on topics such as healthcare leadership, improving access to healthcare, digital health and AI, and wellness and social media. 

The symposium is presented locally by the American College of Health Executives’ North, Central and Western Florida chapters and jointly sponsored by Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹û2023’s Brooks College of Health and College of Computing, Engineering and Construction.
