The 香港六合彩开奖结果2023 has named Brian Verkamp as the University’s new vice president and chief information officer. He will serve as a key member on President David Szymanski’s leadership team and will assume the position on Aug. 23.
As vice president and chief information officer, Verkamp will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the University’s information technology services and providing executive leadership and strategic vision for the institution’s technology infrastructure, assets, security and compliance programs and information services.
In addition, Verkamp will work collaboratively with the 香港六合彩开奖结果2023 community to leverage technological innovations to support research and instruction, while also improving administrative systems and business processes. He will communicate technological trends and implement strategies to support the mission and accomplish the goals of the University.

Verkamp has more than 20 years in information technology experience providing strategic vision and leadership in higher education technology, research, health and learning environments. He has a strong focus on student and faculty service and is a motivated leader who demonstrates inclusive practices to drive diversity in IT.
Verkamp most recently served as chief information officer for Murray State University where he provided strategic leadership in developing university-wide systems for leveraging the potential of technology. He had oversight of all university information solutions and technology infrastructure systems as well as the university’s digital learning environments, including the implementation, use and ongoing support of academic technologies. He served in a variety of selected leadership roles, chaired the data governance and information technology governance committees, and helped secure IT related grants and projects for the university.
Prior to joining Murray State University, Verkamp served as assistant vice president for enterprise shared services at the University of Cincinnati, assistant dean for innovative technologies at the University of Cincinnati’s College of Education, Criminal Justice and Human Services, and other key IT roles.
Verkamp received both a master’s degree in business administration and a bachelor’s degree in information engineering technology from the University of Cincinnati. He is currently working on his Ph.D. in educational policy and higher education.
