3CX Telephone Service:

The University uses 3CX as its telephone service. 3CX is a multifunctional communication system featuring web browser-based extensions and mobile apps, enabling users to work productively from anywhere. The telephone services using 3CX include digital telephones, conference calling, cell phone service, courtesy phones, emergency phones (Code Blue), long-distance calling, and the directory found on the phone.

Accessing voicemail away from the office

If you're away from the office, you can still check your voicemail with the same mailbox options as if you were accessing your account within the telephone system.

  1. Dial 904-620-3900
  2. The caller would hear a prompt asking for them to input their PIN for the extension they just
    entered.
  3. If the caller hits the pound sign here (before putting in the PIN), it will ask them to
    input an extension and then repeat the previous prompt.
  4. Now, the user will hear the voicemail options for the phone they just logged into

To re-record your greeting

  1. Dial the voicemail number listed in your user account email.
  2. Enter your PIN and then press "#".
  3. Select option "9" then "8" and then "0" to record.
  4. Press "#" to end the recording and "0" to save.

Where may I find a campus phone directory?

There are a few places where 香港六合彩开奖结果2023 faculty, staff, and students can find a campus phone directory. These methods use the 3CX Phonebook, the Outlook Global Address List, and the search feature in Microsoft Teams.

The 3CX Phonebook can be found using the 3CX PBook button on Physical Phones or by going to the team tab in 3CX Soft Clients. These have all 香港六合彩开奖结果2023 3CX profiles listed in them. (it will require an extension and password to log in).

The Outlook Global Address List can be found in Outlook under the People tab and then in the Default Global Address List directory, which has all 香港六合彩开奖结果2023 members, including faculty, staff, and students, and their corresponding information that has been added, such as location, email, phone number, etc.

Microsoft Teams can also be used by those at 香港六合彩开奖结果2023 who have it to search for others in the 香港六合彩开奖结果2023 Directory. It can be done by searching at the top of the screen in Teams and typing in the name, N-Number, or other information about them. It will pull up their Teams profile information with much of the same information as Outlook.

Who do I contact to update the name on my phone or in the phone directory?

If you need to change your name or location, you will need to submit an ITSR - Information Technology Services Request, which can be done at or contact the help desk by emailing helpdesk@unf.edu If there is a problem with your title or department listing you will need to contact HR as this information is updated depending on the information they have on file.

How do I make an emergency call?

  • Listen for the dial tone.
  • Dial 911.
  • The 911 call will be routed to the University Police Department (UPD). UPD will see, on their dispatch telephones, the building and room number from which the call is being made.

How do I make a local call?

  • Listen for the dial tone.
  • Dial the local 7-digit number.

How do I make a long-distance call?

  • Your telephone must be classified as capable of making long-distance calls.
  • Listen for the dial tone.
  • Dial the 10-digit number.

How do I make an international call?

  • Your telephone must be classified as capable of making International calls.
  • Listen for the dial tone.
  • Dial 011, the country code, city code, and number

Can I call toll-free numbers?

  • Yes. Listen for the dial tone.
  • Dial 1 + (800 or 877 or 866) + 7-digit number

To retrieve messages that others have left for you

  • Access Voicemail, Login to your mailbox.
  • The system may announce the number of Unread/Read messages
  • Press * to play Messages. Envelope information, including Caller ID of the caller may be played with each message.
  • You may press 0 to skip to the next message; 3 to delete; or 5 to forward

To re-record your personal greeting

  • Login to your voicemail box and press 98
  • Follow the prompts to record and save

To change your password

  • Login to your voicemail box and press 97

To re-record your voiced-in name

  • Login to your voicemail box and press 95
  • Follow the prompts to record and save

To transfer directly to voice mail (Express Messaging)

  1. Hit the transfer button after accepting the call.
  2. Hit * then 4, then enter the four-digit extension you want to transfer to.
  3. Hit blind transfer to complete the transfer.

To check messages for a mailbox different from your own

  1. Dial (3900)
  2. Press #
  3. Using your touchtone keypad, enter the desired mailbox number. DO NOT PRESS #
  4. When prompted, using your touchtone keypad, enter the password

Suggestions for Voice Mail Personal Greetings

Generic Greetings:

"Hello (Hi), you have reached (your name) with the department of (insert department) at the 香港六合彩开奖结果2023. I am either on my other line or away from my desk, so please leave your name, telephone number and a detailed message after the tone and I'll return your call as soon as possible. Thank you."
