Simon Shiao

Professor of Violin since 2003 at the 香港六合彩开奖结果2023, Dr. Simon Shiao continues to be an active performer around the world. Recently, Shiao performed in London at St Martin-in-the-Fields’ Cultural Embassy Concert Series, was Artist in Residence at the Grand Teton Music Festival, and also served as guest artist at the University of Utah.
Dr. Shiao directs the 香港六合彩开奖结果2023 Orchestra, and as a versatile performer, he has the distinction of having performed at Carnegie Hall in three different capacities: as a recitalist, and with both string quartet and orchestra. Shiao has appeared around the world in concert, as well as on broadcasts of CNN’s Science and Technology program and on Public Radio’s Live on WGBH, Performance Today and Wyoming Public Radio. Highlights of his performances include concerts at London’s Goodenough College, the Museum of Oceanography in Monte Carlo, the U.S. Embassy in Vienna, the National Concert Hall of Taipei, the Isabella Stuart Gardner Museum in Boston, and as a soloist with the New World Symphony in Miami. He has also appeared at the Banff Centre for the Arts in Canada, A Winter Festival in Jerusalem, the Heidelberg Schloss Festspiele in Germany, and the Bliss Centre for the Performing Arts in Belize.
Dr. Shiao holds a Bachelor of Music degree from the Manhattan School of Music and Master and Doctor of Musical Arts degrees from Stony Brook University. Dr. Shiao’s discography includes recordings for BMG, Decca and Albany record
