Student Mentor Program
To help new students succeed in their major, the School of Communication provides upper-level undergraduate students as mentors. The purpose of this student mentoring program, called The Flock, is to foster an environment of belonging and success. Student mentors help new students utilize academic and personal support services and engage in campus activities.
Mentors meet with mentees face-to-face several times during the academic year to answer questions and help new students navigate the college experience. Mentors can also check in bi-monthly via phone, email, text or other apps. As role models, mentors help mentees find success in college.
If you would like to become a mentee or a mentor, please e-mail the Director of the School of Communication.
